FAQ

ASSORTED FACTS AND ANSWERS TO MOST FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. Due to our contract with the ski area we are not allowed to offer private lessons.

2. There is no email available on our website. We prefer to speak directly to our students and/or their parents.
Please read all the information posted, if you have any further questions call us at 206-463-5305 (or 206-547-3147 if calling from a 435 area code). We check our voice mail frequently and will return your call promptly.

3.For Summit at Snoqualmie lift ticket and Season Pass rates please visit their website at www.summitatsnoqualmie.com.
Upon registration we will mail you an application to purchase a Season Pass.

4.Students may buy a daily ticket from our chalet during ski season. Because Fiorini must purchase these tickets at full face value from the ski area we cannot take credit cards for payment. Checks made out to Fiorini Ski School or cash only.
These tickets are sold to students only, parents and siblings not registered in the school must purchase their lift tickets from the area's main ticket booths.

5.If we must cancel a class day, make-up lesson/s will be added at the end of the season. Please allow a few weeks into March for possible make-ups.

6. There are no make up lessons for personal absenteeism. Because classes will already be full and established, students cannot make up a lesson on an opposite day. Students cannot switch back and forth from Saturday to Sunday.

7. Class size for children is approx. 8 students. For ages 5 & 6 new beginners, class size is approx. 5. We also have many helpers involved. Adult class size is approx. 4 to 6 students.

8.Children's classes are "all day", one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Adult classes are "half day", either morning or afternoon depending on skill level.
We do not have half day classes for children. All children's classes are held at Summit West. We do not have children's classes at Stevens Pass or Crystal Mt.

9.Children must be 5 years old (or turning 5 during ski season) to attend classes.

10.You may request that your child be in class with a friend or relative provided they are both of the same approx. age and skill level. Please write any such request on the upper left hand corner of the registration form. Requests are subject to class availability at time of registration.

11. The ski school only collects revenue for three months out of the year, this is why we do not take credit cards. Thank you for your understanding.

12.Ski buses are for registered students only. Bus seats are not transferable to others .Bus rides are not sold individually, student purchases the entire season package of bus ridership.

13. During ski classes, parents who drive up meet their children for lunch at 11:30am. Bring them back for afternoon class at 12:45pm and pick them up at the end of class at 2:30pm. Bus students have their lunch on the bus which is heated and chaperoned during lunch time. Bus students are not chaperoned at lunch if they choose to leave the bus. They may ski only with parent's permission at lunch and only where they have been with their instructor that morning. They must also ski with a buddy.

14.Storage lockers are available in the basement of the Rental Lodge. We cannot store student's gear inside the Fiorini chalet. Skis and snowboards are left at student's meeting signs around the chalet during lunch.

15. Sorry, we do not offer adult snowboard lessons.

16. Children's class NAME TAGS are mailed on the Monday before ski school begins. Bus students will be given their tags on the first day of classes on the bus. These tags are color coded and numbered to the
division the student is in and have the student's and instructor's name on it for easy identification

17. Beginner skiers do not need ski poles. The instructor will advise you when or if they need to bring poles. Most children do not use them the first season.

18. Yes, we DO conduct classes on Martin Luther King's birthday weekend in January. No, we DO NOT conduct classes on Presidents' Day weekend in February.
